JONATHAN GLASS discovered a penchant for drawing when he was 10 years old. He studied art and took classes while attending grade school and high school. In college, Jonathan majored in Illustration and minored in Art History. While attending the University at Buffalo, his mentor, Alan E. Cober, encouraged him to journal his experiences by sketching.
Jonathan applied this concept and found a niche drawing live jazz performances at jazz venues around NYC, Paris, Chicago, and New Orleans. Jonathan is considered part of the New York jazz scene, and has become friends with many accomplished musicians.
His jazz sketches are on display at the Jazz Gallery on 290 Hudson St. and Somethin' Jazz Club on 212 E.52 St., 3rd floor, both in New York City. Jonathan has established himself as a painter, photographer, and an illustrator. He is proud to be a founding member of Fountain Gallery.
