CLAIRE YSPOL's artworks take the form of photographs, printed matter, text, and the occasional sculpture. Her artistic practice revolves around subtly tampering with the everyday and making the familiar less so (for example, the surface of a humble sheet of paper becomes a sculptural environment). Uncertainty and ambiguity are important constructive devices in her work; she uses them to create new associative possibilities as well as amplify the overlooked.
Born in the Netherlands, Claire currently lives and works in Dundee, UK. See more of her work at https://claireyspol.com/
