KENNEY MENCHER is a Bay Area realist painter and a Professor of Art and Art History at Ohlone College in Fremont.  Originally from New York City, Mencher earned a BA and MA in Art History from City University of New York and University of California, Davis, respectively, following which he went on to obtain a MFA in painting from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He has taught at a number of institutions including the University of Chicago, San Francisco’s University High School, and Texas A&M University. He is the author of several magazine articles and a textbook “Liaisons: Readings in Art, Literature and Philosophy.”  He is represented by Klaudia Marr Gallery in Santa Fe and Elliott Fouts Gallery in Sacramento.  Please visit his website at www.kenney-mencher.com.
