JO ANN HAWKINS is a Seattle-area teacher and artist who has been drawing or painting all of her life. Wherever she has lived, she has captured the 'moment' of her surroundings, and most of her paintings reflect the Pacific Northwest: the boats, Puget Sound, the marketplaces, Mt. Rainier, forests, and totems. The blues and greens shimmer in her watercolors. It seems at every turn there are daffodil or tulip fields in the country in the springtime and charm in the towns and cities and boats around every corner. The Pacific NW is a land of nature and water.
Jo Ann paints with watercolors and acrylics and her art is impressionistic in style. Her paintings are on show in offices and homes in the Northwest. See more of her work at joannhawkins.com.
